RIP GPK

Girja Prasad Koirala died On Saturday at around 12:10 PM. He has been one of the most controversial figure of Nepali Politics for last 25 years. Some praised his far-sightedness, some said he was a crook, corrupt and was the reason for Nepal’s current situation but whatever be your thought he was the one who was holding the Nepali Politics with one hand. The current question after his demise which arises in Nepal is: What will happen now? Here’s what i think:

It will be shifted. I can sense it. Maoist will be the sole force now. No one can challenge them. NC is going to break. Sujata is too opportunist. I saw her giggling on the TV right behind her father’s immortal body. Deuba is too weak to face Prachanda and Baburam and no other leader in NC has support of their own activist.

Now it is only a matter of time and we will see whether Prachanda is true leader or just a fake. If he has the caliber then he alone will lead from the front.

Though i voted for UML in CA but i don’t believe them especially MKN. If he had slightest of leadership quality he wound not have taken the PM’s oath after loosing the election. They are just retard.

One more thing can happen, few new leaders can come in front like those of the likes of Gagan Thapa when they see NC breaking apart. I just hope this happens. We want some new bloods to run the country.

I live in Madesh but i don’t support any of the Madesh Badi Dal. They are plain opportunist and corrupt. None of them are fighting for Madeshi People. They even have no idea what madesh wants.

I am just being positive here.

Negatively, Maoist can take over the country dissolving CA and that too with support of Nepal Army. Yes. they can get there support. You never know.

Lastly, once again, RIP GPK

Freelancing from a third world country

Office starts at 9 PM when rest of the world around you goes to sleep, you as web worker working from your home office prepare with tons of caffeine and boot up your system to say hello to client who have just landed in their offices in North America.

Most of the posts that I see on Freelancing blogs are focused to freelancers in US, UK or any other First world country. But as you say offshore freelancers or web workers who are working from countries like India, China, Philippines, Nepal, etc. have quiet different outlook of web working. We have a different working style and timing as compared to that of freelancers in US or UK. Working for a local client might be an option for most web workers in US or UK but for people working from third world countries have to look out for opportunities on Internet only to find any decent project.

I am a web worker working from Nepal a small country situated in between the giants like India and China. Though many of you may know about this country because of Mt. Everest and Buddha but hardly anyone of you might have an experience with a Nepali web worker, that’s because there are only few dozen people from this 25 million strong country working online as a web worker. moving on with my work

Last few post in my blog has been related to what i do in my daily work life. If you are new reader then let me recap you with my work details: I am a freelance webmaster who works in almost every aspect of internet. I create content, design websites, optimize them for search engine and even write my own code in PHP. I am like a jack of all trades.

Well, though i do a lot of things but majority of my income comes from writing content. I am almost doing it fulltime now and write on various websites and multiple clients. Though i am making decent amount of money by writing online but i still feel that i can do much better with all the talent that i have within me. The rate on which i write content is considered the lowest in this insurty. I feel more bad when i see my own clients making huge amount of money by using content written by me. Well, this is business and i should not be offended by it but still i think if i use that talent of writing content for my own network of sites and blogs and then i can enjoy a much better pay scale every month.

I know by fact that if i engage in creating sites and flipping them then i am sure i can make much more amount of money but somewhere in my heart i always have fear that what if i fail in that. The bigger problem with me is that i cannot refuse new projects. Right now at the moment i have lots of writing orders in the pipeline and due to my recent personal incident i have been delayed in all the orders but still i cannot refuse to take on new orders. Second bigger problem is that when i am low in projects than i get caught by that negative feeling which makes me take on more project that brings in money.

Telling you fact i cannot stand a single day without work. Though i have huge plans and numerous ideas that will make sure money but this lack of motivating factor within me stops me to take on those ideas.

Can you suggest me any idea on how can i manage all those things while still being happy at the end?

a day without internet

Well, i never felt it would be that hard. But somehow i passed. it. I was without internet for almost 1 and half day. My wireless internet router which connects me to the ISP server was down and i was not able to fix it. I called my ISP but they had no clue of what went wrong. So, i decide to fix it myself. Well, thats the part of life i guess and living in this this world country you have to face those things. But its really heck of a headache to live without internet and not working for that long. I don’t know how was life before i started freelancing. Sounds Weird…

Fourth Bloggers Meet- Rocking !

Well, i attended my fourth Blogger Meet , this time it was more fun than before as i saw many blogger face to face whom i only read in there blogs. There were altogether 24 bloggers joing in this time. The whole meeting was actually a debate between two groups , one who wanted to make a formal organisation of BLOGAN and one who dont.I personally think we should make it , what if someone else comes tommorow and registers BLOGAN formally, that will be bizarre.

The second agenda was about publishing a book on blogging and i was told to write some pages on “building blogs on Wordpress” , well thats easy, since i am also working to make a e-book on “blogging and making money out of blogs” for my new venture so i think writing some pages will be more than helpfull.

This time i personally felt more better , since there were only handfull of bloggers in earlier meeting and this time it was a huge one , i wish we can continue it and make some concrete stage for BLOGAN.

And if you want links to my blogs then here , they are
www.howzatt.com – A cricket Blog

www.bloganywhere.org – Blog about new media and different aspects of blogging
There will be more blogs in future , so keep watching this place
Thanks

Happy Blogging

Being a Web worker in a Third world country

Last whole month was a transition for me, Lost the job (actually I left it) got high fever, Cheimaphobia and Huh!  Also a kind of Information Overload, actually my last 5 years have completely been passed on Internet, and these days reading more and more blogs always leads me to information overload, and that’s a very dangerous problem.

And these days I am having a new problem, (problems never leave me) , i left my job and started working online , not those online job which those mocking hi-tech company of new baneshwar called onlinejobnepal.com gives , No i dont work for them neither any other online  company in Nepal, i do a kind of freelancing , writing content and posting thread on new forums, and yeah i am making some decent money by this , i wont tell the exact figure but its more than  the Prime Minister of Nepal ( i am not boasting of it , ok ), Now the problem is that no one over here understand what i do ,i got amazed when i saw that even people who work in Internet didn’t understand what i do ,it really gets me hard to explain them what i do , Yes its a kind of new thing, but people dont believe me , i dont know what i have to show them so that they can believe what i do.

I hope I get this problem solved,

Third Bloggers Meet …. really exciting with lots of knowledge

Attending the third bloggers’s meet was amazing this time . We had James Gomez
a singaporean blogger who shared his thoughts on blogging and conditions in Singapore and lot more . I really learnt a lot from him . I think if we can bring such guest of honour in every meet , i am sure the number of members will tooo increase and there will be more things to talk and discuss about.

Second thing , i have a really very serious problem with neppal.com . The site where i had bought that domain is gone and now i cannot modify the nameserver and the current site where i was hosting it created a lot of problem so we decided to close it and host at some other location , now the last chance for me to get that domain is , if i can transfer it somewhere else and it will take minimum of 7 days to do that. So , lets hopei can start neppal.com once again

One more thing , i had a blog called Bloganywhere.org , now i have started it. Still it has some 6-7 posts but i a posting it there regularly. I blog there about how you can blog and diffrent aspects of blogging . I have done so much research on the technical aspect of blogs that i thought to share them with others. If you have any question regarding any technical aspect of your blog , just shoot me a mail , i will try to slove it and if its a common problem, then i will post the solution in the blog.

 So that’s it for now

Happy blogging
