monday musings

Sometimes life can take you aback from what it gives to you. I have been working online since last 2 years and September has been the month which i can really say has turned the things for me. I started Profermics on 23rd August and after two days of its launch i was smashed by tons of projects. Well, this really made my life more happier but even brought in loads of work. Till last month i used to work till 2 AM but now i normally go to sleep at around 4-5 AM. Well this does not seem much of difference but ask me it really has created some kind of raze within myself. After such a growth i can finally pay some of due that i owe to my freinds. Well, its not much considering what i earn but still it sometime pisses me off that i pissed him with it. ;-)

Coming to work, i am planning to open up my second office in Kathmandu very soon. I searched hard for good designer over in my place but when i saw no luck i decided to move to Kathmandu. Well, i won’t move there permanently but will keep moving in between places ( hmm, that’s gonna be lots of fun). I will probably be partnering with one of my long time friend with whom i started working online in 2006 since then we have collaborated on most of things that we do.

Till then, Eid Mubarak and Happy Dashain

Profermics.com – Niche Website Creation Service

I am very excited today to announce the launch of Profermics.com. This posts comes exactly after 12 days when i said Profermics will launch tomorrow. Well, i was heck of busy in making it perfect for the launch. Now, since i have launched it, you can go in and place your order for niche websites which costs only $39.

Why should you get a niche website?
Did you buy domains with thought to develop it one day or sell it for higher prices?
But now your enthusiasm to develop it has gone away and you simply see your domains parked at sedo.com which does make you some penny but considering your investment in domain the return does not makes any sense. Considering this fact we have bought this exciting service of niche site development. If you have a spare domain with you and don’t have time to develop it then simply buzz us and we will make sure your domain gets a trendy websites with unique content and advertisement that pays you more than parking. Isn’t this an exciting service and that too at a low price of $39 which is lower than an average meal at McDonald’s?

Here are some samples sites that you might want to see before placing a order:

To place an order please use the form located here: Order Form
To find out more about the service please see the FAQ Section: Frequently Asked Questions

Please do remember each unique niche site costs only $39. Only requirement is that you should have your domain with you. You can though buy a domain for $5.99 over at name.com too.

WTF is this? Earthquake in Kathmandu

WARNING: This is 100% Fake, may be a April Fools Joke but i dont really understand why is this news posted in the ekantipur.com. Read the full story:

EARTHQUAKE DEVASTATES ENTIRE NATION

By Sanjog Rai

Only a fraction of Kathmandu left

KATHMANDU-Three days have passed since the devastating earthquake hit Nepal on Friday, wiping out most parts of Kathmandu. The magnitude 9.3 earthquake, which lasted nearly 12 minutes, is being called the deadliest disaster in recent history by the international media.

While initial estimates had put the death toll at 52,034, the latest analysis complied by the United Nations (UN) lists a total of 531,495 people lost, including 231,149 dead and 83,234 missing.

Nearly 82.5% of the buildings in Kathmandu have been reported completely damaged.

With the capital’s food supplies running scarce, huge amounts of food are currently being airlifted from neighboring countries, including India and China. Once in Kathmandu, they are being distributed through local agencies that are still functioning.

Already 3,500 volunteers have arrived in Kathmandu for search and rescue missions that could go on for months. Another 8,200 volunteers are also being arranged by 15 countries for similar missions; they are expected to reach Kathmandu by Monday.

More than US$1 billion in humanitarian aid and reconstruction have also been pledged by several countries. The United States, on top of its US$120 million contribution, has also promised 15 country musicians to raise funds.

Currently taking refuge in an unknown military base, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has released a statement requesting citizens to "keep fighting and struggling", and that "help will come".

Despite being horribly disfigured from the earthquake, several local artistes-including Robin & the New Revolution, 1974 A.D., Madzone, Nirnaya NSK, Nepsydaz, and Mukti & the Revivals-have also shown incredible courage by agreeing to perform at Tundikhel on Wednesday "to raise the morale of our people". The concert is being dubbed, "The gathering of the most hideous since the Rolling Stones".

However, death toll is still on the rise. Hundreds of survivors are dying of treatable diseases like flu and infections each day due to mismanagement of funds and resources by local agencies.

A report by the American embassy also suggests that the number of missing may be actually lower, with half of the number simply being added from the number of Nepalis hiding out in the U.S.

Rival political groups have also come together with a message: "We now realize that beyond all the bloodshed and bureaucracy, we are all quite f—–".

Can anyone tell me what is this news for. I didn’t get its meaning. As per i know there has never been any such earthquake attack in Kathmandu that would wipe out entire city. Read the full story:

cybersansar.com’s Message to Nepali Web Portals – screw you

This is what i just found on Cybersansar.com. Read it:

Message to Nepali Web Portals

Dear friends from Nepali web portals. Together we have made Nepal’s online media popular with the masses. Though online media is the youngest among all other media, we have grown at the fastest rate.

We are similar primarily on the aspect of being ’online’ based and yet we differ from each other in our own way. We all have our individual strength.

It is important for all of us to differ from each other as it gives each of the site individual personality which helps in creating different brand image among the public and the market.

CyberSansar’s new design and functionality has been made for two main reasons. First to provide a new web experience to our visitors and secondly to create our own unique image. So we request other web portals, especially those based on entertainment and modeling, whom we have seen doing exactly the same like ours in the past, not to blindly copy us this time. Let us all create our own distinct image and proudly represent ourselves among the global online community.

Cheers to all of us.

This is something really annoying. How can you stop someone from using Web 2.0. This is democratic world dude. Continue reading →
