cybersansar.com’s Message to Nepali Web Portals - screw you

This is what i just found on Cybersansar.com. Read it:

Message to Nepali Web Portals

Dear friends from Nepali web portals. Together we have made Nepal’s online media popular with the masses. Though online media is the youngest among all other media, we have grown at the fastest rate.

We are similar primarily on the aspect of being ’online’ based and yet we differ from each other in our own way. We all have our individual strength.

It is important for all of us to differ from each other as it gives each of the site individual personality which helps in creating different brand image among the public and the market.

CyberSansar’s new design and functionality has been made for two main reasons. First to provide a new web experience to our visitors and secondly to create our own unique image. So we request other web portals, especially those based on entertainment and modeling, whom we have seen doing exactly the same like ours in the past, not to blindly copy us this time. Let us all create our own distinct image and proudly represent ourselves among the global online community.

Cheers to all of us.

This is something really annoying. How can you stop someone from using Web 2.0. This is democratic world dude.

Ok i understand that your previous designs have been copied by some regional web portals to name a few: thikthak.com, 977nepal.com, butwalcity.com, pokharacity.com and many more but that does mean you have the right to use these technology only on your website. Inspiration and Creativity can come from anywhere inside or out but you cant go on stopping anyone to not use things used on your site. The RSS and the homepage slider that you have used on your site’s homepage is available freely everywhere and anyone can use it. Now if some other Nepali site just uses then that does not mean it is copying you.

Stop acting like a kid, you are grown up. 10 years of age is a lot in online world. Try to create your position distinctly with original content and not just copying articles from other sites and pasting it into your sites like you do in enasha.com. Use some strict XHTML within your site, to tell you fact your website does not even opens up properly in dial up connection or in cyber cafes outside Kathmandu. Buddy you need to know that there are huge number of people who try to access your website from outside Kathmandu too and simply hosting your website in Kathmandu based server for viewers in Nepal won’t solve any problem that’s because when someone types in Cybersansar.com from outside Kathmandu then the page doesn’t comes from your Nepal based server but lands up from your US Based server and that slows the website and makes life as hell.

Stop using all those bulky images better optimize them for faster download. And for God’s sake decrease the number of Slider on your homepage. That is a lot of JavaScript for any browser to handle.

Good Luck
